2023 | 2024 Soccer Season Schedule

EDMONTON, AB – The Concordia Thunder Men and Women’s soccer schedules have officially been announced for the 2023 season. Both teams will compete in 12 regular season matches and push to secure their spot in the ACAC Championships right here in Edmonton.

To kick things off, Thunder will head to Lakeland College to face the Rustlers before returning to home turf on September 16^th against the NWP Wolves. On Sunday, the 17^th they will be taking on the NAIT Ooks in a battle of Edmonton at the NAIT field. The following weekend will kick off with another away game against the Kings’ Eagles, followed by a Saturday matchup against the Portage Voyageurs back on home turf.

To finish off the month of September, Thunder will travel up to Fort McMurray for a weekend series against the Keyano Huskies. Thunder will return home for the next three games facing the Kings’ Eagles on October 6^th, Lakeland Rustlers on the 7^th, and NAIT Ooks on the 14^th, all for the second time in the season.

To finish off the regular season, the Thunder will battle the Portage Voyageurs in Lac La Biche, and conclude the weekend at home, Sunday the 22^nd, against the NWP Wolves. The ACAC Championships are being hosted by Concordia, alongside NAIT and Kings’ at the Edmonton Soccer Dome, the largest indoor center in all of Canada.

The Thunder men’s team looks to improve on their 3-7-2 regular season record in 2022, after building strong foundations within the team they hope to expand on the growth and skills developed. The Thunder Women’s team will look to defend their outstanding 11-1 record last year while continuing to drive and take the championship in the ACAC finals after earning silver against the RDP Queens last fall.
